Car Concierge Pro FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Dealerships take advantage of people by playing the numbers game and psychological tactics. Dealerships have trained sales associates who know how to get your every hard-earned dollar while Car Concierge Pro’s goal is to help save your money on your car purchase.

I faced a personal issue while buying a new car, Nissan Rogue, back when I was a Ph.D. student at Arizona State University, USA. I found out that every dealership was selling the same car at different prices, and that got me frustrated with the process. And so,  I decided to get a new vehicle at the lowest price. After spending three weeks of sleepless nights, I eventually bought the car and saved $7450 off of the selling price.

However, the entire car buying process is time consuming, exhausting, and demands time off from school and work. Once my friends found out about this story and my negotiating skills, they have been reaching out for their car deals. Slowly but surely, the word spread around, and now I have negotiated over 100+ car deals across the USA.

Most dealerships are tacky. They will run your credit even if you’re still looking for your perfect car. This way, they can tie you down and sell you the vehicle at the highest possible prices even if you don’t like their current inventory.

Let’s look at several options:

  1. If you’re buying it outright or paying in cash, you should NEVER let a dealership run your credit. There’s no law where you have to abide by what they say to you at the time of the car purchase.
  2. If you’re planning to lease or finance, you should ONLY let the dealership run your credit once you’re 100% sure of the car, and you’ve already negotiated the car prices.

There are over 32 different ways of how a dealership makes billions, if not millions, by taking advantage of everyday people like us.

These are the 15 factors to keep in mind when getting a used car:

  1. Do in-depth market research.
  2. Jot down your exact needs and preferences
  3. Find every vehicle which meets your expectations.
  4. Review their complete CarFax reports
  5. Analyze their Autocheck reports
  6. Check for their service history records.
  7. Compare these data points.
  8. Schedule test drives.
  9. Inspect the wear and tear on the car — dents, scratches, tires, etc.
  10. Track as to how the dealership bought the car — an auction, trade-ins, etc.
  11. Get your mechanic friend or auto repair shop guy to inspect the car from an unbiased approach. It might cost a couple of hundred dollars.
  12. If everything checks out, ask them to make you an initial offer.
  13. Compare various pricing from other dealerships or private sellers.
  14. Negotiate, negotiate, and negotiate.
  15. Once the best price is agreed upon, make a deal.

Yes, you can lease a car with a $0 down payment. However, as a car buyer, you have to be proactive in tracking various deals, offers, incentives, market supply and demand, and ensuring that you’re leasing the car at the lowest price.

A more straightforward option is to hire a professional car concierge service company for a flat fee like Car Concierge Pro who does not get any kickbacks from any dealerships and gets you the best lease offer on your new lease.

At Car Concierge Pro, we do lease deals throughout the year, including Christmas and NYE. There are no right or wrong months to lease a new car.

As a buyer, you have to be proactive in tracking various deals, offers, incentives, market supply and demand, and ensuring that you’re leasing the car at the lowest price.

Also, every dealership has different offers on the same make and model of your chosen car. The majority of the time, there are even exclusive offers right from the manufacturers.

Overall, you have to keep an eye out on these deals and spend hours researching, negotiating, and reviewing the final offers.

Besides, there are over 34 different terminologies that you have to get yourself acquainted with at the time of pricing discussions with the dealers.

Some of the standard options available in the market for consideration —

  1. Lease Duration: 36, 39, or 42 mos.
  2. Miles: 10,000; 12,000; 15,000 per year.
  3. Down payment: $0 – $10,000

Yes, 100%.One of our clients buy cars and then rent it out on Turo.com.

We provide him with curated deals, negotiate car prices with the dealerships, and ensure a hassle-free car buying experience.

It would be best if you kept in mind that you need to get the cars at the lowest negotiated price, which would help keep your monthly payments low, especially when leasing or financing.

Our concierge offering enables our clients to get their (multiple) cars with peace of mind.

An auto dealership makes millions of dollars each year. Not surprising, right?

They have the highest profit margins on the new cars when compared to used cars.

On average, they make about $3000-$7000 on cars, priced less than $30,000-$40,000.

For luxury and high-end cars, the profit is north of $10,000 or even more.

A car buying experience is frustrating and demands time off from work or business activities.

Going from one dealership to another dealer to get a good deal is a futile process.

After going through this harrowing experience personally back in 2018, we started Car Concierge Pro to help clients with their car-buying process. Our clients have saved over $370,000+ on their car deals without even negotiating!

Yes definitely. There is hefty markup when it comes to selling an extended warranty by the dealerships.

However, you should only get an extended warranty if you will keep the car for more than three years.

We negotiate the warranty price from over $3000 to under $899 when our clients are looking to get it.

We provide a cost-effective and seamless experience to our clients looking to get a new, pre-owned, or used cars.

Usually, an online dealership like Carvana, Vroom, AutoNation, and others offers used cars at higher prices than local family-owned dealerships.

Also, it is much better to inspect a used car before making a purchase. It is not like buying a $10 item from a grocery store and going for a refund if you don’t end up liking it. Car prices vary from $10,000 – $500,000 and even more.

If our client is looking for a pre-owned certified or used cars, we provide them with a list of curated deals. Once we go through it together, we recommend our clients to visit and check out the vehicles. Once we inspect and everything checks out properly, including car history, we initiate negotiating with the respective dealerships.

This way, the client is assured that they will get the same car at the best-negotiated price.

First and foremost, you need to know which make, model, and the trim level you’re looking to purchase.

Second, you must have test driven a day or two prior for you to be confident that yes, that’s the car you’re looking to purchase.

Third, you must go during the weekdays and in the wee hours. (Example: noon – during lunchtime, 8:45 pm – just before the closing time)

As a concierge service, we recommend our clients go to the dealership after the following checklist if they want us to negotiate while at the dealer.

  1. Sleep well the night before.
  2. Eat well before you walk-in.
  3. Have a water bottle or some juices to keep you hydrated.
  4. We make sure that the exact car is available by calling the dealership ahead of time.
  5. Make sure to go on an extended test drive.
  6. Show that you’re busy with your daily errands (virtually) if you go during day time.
  7. Show that you’ve to catch up on dinner if you go just at the closing time.
  8. Never make an offer first.

Apart from the points listed above, we have an additional 21 pointers which we provide to our clients before they step-in at the dealership.

You’ve two options:

  1. Go through all the hassles and painstaking experience at the dealership. OR.

I’d like to share my experience I truly cherish, for it led me to start Car Concierge Pro.

I was in a dilemma while buying a new car, Nissan Rogue; I was a Ph. D. student at Arizona State University, U.S.A back then. Every car dealer was selling the same car at different prices, which frustrated me with the process. And so, I decided to get a new vehicle at the lowest price. Once my friends found out about this story and my negotiating skills, they started reaching out to me for their car deals. I brought about a positive change in people’s lives using my negotiation skills to save my client’s hard-earned money. That’s how it all started. My passion drove me all the way!

While buying a new or used car, the most common ones where an informed customer must avoid paying or negotiate are:

The dealer may already be giving you discounts, but you must understand the scope of additional price reductions, as mentioned in the table above.

Before founding CarConciergePro, I was a co-founder of a MedTech startup, raised over $1.5M, grew our team to 25 members, published papers with Mayo Clinic, and more.

Car Concierge Pro is a boutique concierge service for people looking to save their hard-earned money on their next car purchase. We have made the entire car buying process cost-effective and hassle-free for our clients.

It all started when I wanted to buy my dream car and found that the various dealers were pricing the vehicle differently. I did extensive research on the reason behind the difference in prices from multiple dealers. To my surprise, the conclusion of my study was shocking. The dealers were misleading the buyers by including unnecessary costs in the deal.

The first year of my business was the most crucial one. It helped me get better at converting prospects to clients. I got better at negotiating with car dealerships for my clients to negotiate their dream cars at great prices.

The entire car buying process is time-consuming, exhausting, and demands time off. Once my friends found out about this story and my negotiating skills, they started reaching out to me for their car deals. Slowly but surely, the word spread around, and now I have negotiated over 39 car deals and saved our clients over $370,000+ of their hard-earned money.

The short answer to this question is to shop online, purchase the car virtually, and get it home delivered. Don’t forget to use sanitizer and Clorox wipes to clean the vehicle. Also, wear a mask and nitrile gloves when you go for the drive.

The detailed answer is as follows:

The car buying and negotiating process is painstaking. The usual method is to go from dealership to dealership when someone is in the market to get a new or pre-owned car. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic, the process needs to evolve. As a healthcare professional, I am concerned about my clients’ health, and at the same time, as a Car Concierge professional, I also want them to get their vehicle during the crisis.

And so, at Car Concierge Pro, we have simplified the car selection process for our clients based on their preference, budget, and timeline by making them aware that there’s no need to go a dealership to test-drive different cars. To date, we have saved clients over $370,000+ of their hard-earned money.

We provide them with a concierge service where the vehicles which they are interested in comes to their home or office with a driver who is wearing a mask and gloves and has thoroughly sanitized each car.

Once they have completed several test drives and figured out which car they are looking to get, we provide them with the best Out The Door pricing (lowest possible price) by negotiating with several car dealerships, virtually. We also negotiate interest rates on finance or lease options with the dealerships on behalf of our clients.

Once we finalize which deal we want to go forward with, we ensure that the dealership provides contactless delivery of the sanitized car to our client’s home. This way, we offer our clients a cost-effective and hassle-free experience.

We are not affiliated with any dealership nor any car manufacturers. We do not promote any specific cars and negotiate every deal with complete honesty and integrity. We keep clients’ preferences at the forefront – cost savings and convenience.

Not bragging, but we are so good at negotiating car deals because we have done extensive research on the reasons behind the difference in car prices at various dealerships.

Car dealerships make millions if not billions over the long haul by making customers pay some of the “hidden” fees or so-called dealer add-ons (addendums). That’s where we jump in to make them understand what’s right and what’s an add-on.

After curating over 100 deals and negotiating for over 500 hours with the dealerships, we have learned negotiating fiercely to get our clients’ best deals on their new or preowned car purchases.

The duration of your visit to the dealership can vary depending on several factors, such as the paperwork involved, any additional services requested, and the dealership’s efficiency. However, on average, you can expect to spend a few hours at the dealership to complete the necessary formalities.

To ensure a smooth transaction, please bring the following documents:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proof of insurance (if you already have an insurance policy)
  • Proof of identity (passport, ID card, etc.)
  • Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, etc.)
  • Any additional documents requested by the dealership (if applicable)

Generally, you can either drive the car from the dealership or have it delivered to your desired location. We can discuss your preference and make the necessary arrangements accordingly.

You must have insurance coverage if you choose to drive the car from the dealership. We can assist you in obtaining insurance through Geico or any other provider you prefer. It is recommended to have insurance in place before driving the vehicle.

When test-driving a vehicle, the dealership usually provides insurance coverage for any potential damages that may occur during the test drive. However, clarifying the specific insurance terms with the dealership beforehand is always a good idea to ensure you are adequately protected.

The dealership will guide you through registering and licensing your new vehicle. Regarding the number plate, you may have the option to choose personalized or specialized plates based on availability and local regulations. Discussing your preferences with the dealership is best, and they will assist you accordingly.

Adding accessories can be done either during the purchase or later on. It’s worth considering the dealership’s offerings as they may have competitive prices and expertise in installing accessories specific to the vehicle. However, if you prefer to explore other options or aftermarket accessories, you can add them later from another dealership or specialized shop to ensure the price is within your budget.
